4/11/12

Today, we continued building our California mission projects.  In social studies, we are learning about the California missions.

TC: We’re learning about the California missions because we want to learn about our world back in the day when we weren’t here.

AS: It was an important time in California history because before there were Europeans here, there were Native Americans.

MG: When the Europeans came, it changed things because-

AS:They converted the Native Americans to Catholics.

In math, we learned how to estimate the sums and differences of decimals.

NG: We’re learning this because you will use this your whole life.  It will help you in the grocery store.

We also reviewed how to interpret graphs.

Parents, please remind students that candy is not a breakfast or lunch food, and it needs to stay at home.

Our homework tonight is Math Homework pages 12-2 and 16-2.
